Switch Up Your Look With Temporary Hair Color

Let's talk more about HAIR.

I've been sharing my favorite tools with you, but now I want to talk about color! In the past, I've always gone to the salon to get full foil highlights for a bright white blonde then use purple shampoo to help maintain the color.

However, when I learned that Moroccanoil launched their new line of Color Depositing Masks, I thought it would be so fun to try! I've never really branched out and played with color because you can't easily fix permanent color you don't like. Plus, I've never liked the idea of putting too much color on my hair and causing more harm than good. BUT with these Color Depositing Masks, it adds temporary color that is designed to fade out gradually over time AND they also give your hair a deep conditioning treatment at the same time! Win-win.

When I first told a few friends I was planning on coloring my hair pink, they were skeptical; I mean, I guess even I was too LOL

But I could not be more happy with the results! I used the Platinum mask all over my hair to get the deep conditioning treatment and slightly tone my hair to get rid of any brassiness. I only had it on for a couple of minutes because I didn't want it toned too silver. The main color effect I wanted was Rose Gold. I sectioned off my hair into what I thought would make good highlights, wet them down, then let the mask sit for a full 5-7 minutes.

Then I rinsed and voilà, my hair was a bright silvery-blonde with perfect rose gold highlights; not to mention very well conditioned : )

I would definitely recommend these colors to anyone with light blonde to light brown hair looking to switch up their usual look for a little bit! Moroccanoil also offers Aquamarine, Hibiscus, and Champagne for lighter colored hair and then Bordeaux and Cocoa for darker colored hair. All Moroccanoil products infused with nourishing argan oil, leaving your hair with increased smoothness and shine. Not to mention all their products smell amazing!
