6 Plane Flight Essentials

September 7, 2017

I leave for New York Fashion Week this morning!

SO crazy and exciting to catch an early flight from O'hare today and make my way to JFK. I enjoy flying, but when I'm stuck on an airplane & forget something I really wish I had... it's the worst.

Which is exactly why I want to share my plane flight essentials with you. I fly a few times a year and never get on an airplane without these items:

1. Sweatshirt / Sweater

For me, this is definitely my number one. I don't care how hot it is outside, it always manages to get cold twenty some thousand feet in the air OR if I'm trying to sleep on the plane, it doubles as a pillow! I'm not one of those people that can sleep sitting up, so I pull the tray table down in front of me, wad up my sweatshirt and sleep like a baby.

2. Extended iPhone charger

Having my phone die while traveling is one of the most irritating things. I don't even remember where I got it, but I have this awesome black rectangle charger that I carry with me whenever I travel and it can charge my phone back up TWO full times. Seriously perfect.

3. Headphones

These are a must for any flight longer than 2 hours so I can watch a movie or drown out annoying flight noise with some music on my phone.

4. Something to read

My favorite magazine is Cosmopolitan. I get the subscription so I'll bring it to the airport with me or, if I forget to bring it, I'll pick up a copy at the airport. Also, a book I'm loving right now is Capture Your Style by Aimee Song and it's all about Instagram style. Another book I'm excited to read is The Skinny Confidential: A Babe's Sexy, Sassy Fitness and Lifestyle Guide by my absolute favorite blogger, Lauryn Evarts Bosstick.

5. Chapstick

Everything gets dried out on an airplane, I swear. I can barely go a few hours on land without my chapstick so I don't think my lips could survive without it in the air.

6. Hair ties

Going off of my last point. My hair also dries out a LOT and I cannot stand staticky hair. So I want to be able to pull it up, ya know? Something about a pulling my hair up and out of the way can really improve my mood.
