What separates a productive, happy & genuinely good day from a sluggish, lazy & uninspired one is determined by my actions as soon as I wake up. If I take 30 mins just to get out of bed and brush my teeth, I'm going to be dragging all day long.
It's so important for me to begin my day with intention, because intention is everything.
What I do as a part of my morning routine sets up my path for the day, this is ME time.
This is where I do things to wake myself up and kick my day off with a bang before I even begin tackling the day's tasks ahead.
I take a 1-2 hours every morning for myself and it completely sets my mood for the day. When I don't accomplish my 3 morning habits, I notice a significant difference in my productivity levels throughout the day. I am less efficient, motivated and creative so my morning habits have become VITAL in my personal and professional successes.
3 Things To Create A Productive Day :
1. Take care of your body
If it's a really good day, I will start with a big glass of water and a workout. This is time for me to tone, move and stretch my body.
If today isn't a workout day, I'll start with an iced coffee, smoothie or just a big glass of lemon water ( I'm such a drink girl and love to have something to sip on ). What I drink varies day to day because I don't drink coffee every day ( probably only twice a week ) but I definitely make sure to drink plenty of water.
Then after a few hours. I'll make something healthy to eat such as collagen oatmeal, an open-faced sandwich or just anything to help fuel my body. I notice that food plays a huge role in how I feel and majorly influences my energy levels.
Also, I'll take my vitamins!
2. Wear something that makes you feel confident
After I workout / drink / eat, I'll change out into something that makes me feel good about myself but is also comfortable.
If I stay in my pjs all day long, I maintain a lazy vibe / feeling that negatively effects my work ethic. When you look good, you feel good. I am a huge believer that when you genuinely feel confident, you can handle just about anything thrown at you and with a smile.
Lately, no matter what I decide to wear, I can't go without my T-shirt bra from Upbra. I've talked about their swimsuits before and let me tell you, their bras are even more amazing. They are SO comfy and the bra technology they use is insane at lifting and supporting. I mean, what more could I want?
I am typically a 32D or a 34C. I went with a 34C and love the way it fits. I also own their strapless bra and it's such a good feeling to have finally found a push-up strapless bra that actually stays up!
3. Do something that inspires you
I love to tackle my emails... but the ones I like HA.
I am subscribed to different bloggers I love and get their newsletters sent to my inbox, such as The Skinny Confidential, Hustle & Halcyon, Fashionlush, Not Jess Fashion, etc etc... plus I am subscribed to The Newsette and read it every morning.
PS. if you're not already, make sure to subscribe to my monthly newsletter ; )
Reading the emails I personally love, allows me to gain insight and inspiration from other bloggers around me. I love reading new posts and constantly learning. This is what allows me to grow and to continue to be a better version of myself. Life's no fun if you think you know everything already. I love to be open to new ideas and experiences.
Plus, along with reading other blogs, I love reading The Newsette! I'm not great at keeping up with news, so if anything major has happened, The Newsette keeps me in the know, but in a fun and girly way.
This is my time. This is what I enjoy and gets me motivated / inspired for the day.
I do these 3 things, then attack my calendar for the day.
When you wake up, do something to make your body feel good, wear something that makes you feel good, then inspire your mind... you'd be amazed at how refreshed and motivated you can be for the day.
