It’s time to talk about about something new that I recently added to my nighttime routine: topical retinoid.
In this post, I’m going to break down what retinoids do to help your skin, the particular one I use and where to buy.
Here we go:
If you suffer from acne and haven’t been able to find a solution, then you might want to give retinoid gel a try! Retinoids have been known to slow down the accumulation of dead skin cells in pores, which is the main leading cause of breakouts.
Specifically, I use Acne Free's Adpalene Gel, which is a topical retinoid acne treatment. Acne Fee is dedicated to affordable, dermatologically-inspired skincare and their particular retinoid was previously only available by prescription, but now can be purchased via Amazon, Walmart or Walgreens!
Acne Free’s Adpalene Gel, when compared to other retinoids, was shown to cause less irritation to the skin.
This specific gel can work on all types of acne. Plus, if you don’t like to spend a ton of time on skincare, it only needs to be applied once-daily; making it something quick and easy you can put on your face before bed. If you’re looking to try something prescription-strength to work against acne, but also won’t cause irritation, this is it.
I also want to mention that this retinoid does not contain benzoyl peroxide; which I love because I find that benzoyl peroxide can irritate my skin.
If you’ve been trying to clear up your acne and haven’t been able to, then it might not hurt to try something dermatologist recommended and developed. It could be exactly what your skin needs!
