We all can feel "down", whether that be mentally or emotionally. It was just last week that I wasn't feeling quite right or quite like myself and there are plenty of times when I am just hard on myself. We can all get in our own heads and have days when certain life situations really leave us feeling defeated.

The next time life seems like it's not going right, try these four things and see if it helps ♡​

This part is important. You have to be self aware and look back on the situation you're frustrated with or whatever it is getting you down. Is there something you can change or "do better" moving forward? If so, make a plan for the future. If not, accept the situation and acknowledge that you’re doing your best.

Do an activity you love, alone.

Treat yourself. You can go to the gym, get a coffee, watch your favorite show, read a book, eat your favorite meal, etc. Enjoy this time, it is your time. Be happy by yourself for yourself, because this time should remind you that personal happiness isn’t dependent on anything or anyone. You need to remove yourself from the current situation or viewpoint you are holding onto. Removing yourself to do an activity you love will also help you to gain perspective on the situation.

If you're not feeling your best, then make sure you take care of yourself. Get up, shower, drink water and do something to make you physically feel better ( go workout? put makeup on? up to you! ). When you feel better physically, you'll feel better mentally and emotionally. All parts of our life are connected. Never neglect yourself.

Move on

Just because something might bring you down or make you feel "off", snap back. Move forward feeling grateful and with your head held high, because guess what, you're doing your best. We can all feel bad at times, sometimes for a good reason and sometimes for no reason at all. That’s okay, it’s just important to remember that everything is temporary and this too shall pass.
