Summer. Summer. Summer.
I spend way too much time just waiting for this season to come around because let's be real, the midwest winters aren't too fun. They're long, cold and seem to last FOREVER. I even escaped to Florida for 3 months and still came back to two more months of cold weather.
Now that warm weather is FINALLY here, I want to make the most of it.
I've created my own little summer bucket list of all the fun things I want to accomplish before summer comes to an end. You know, just something to keep myself accountable. That way I can look back at the end of the season and know I did everything I wanted to.
If you never set any goals for yourself, how will you accomplish them?
Hopefully you can find some summer inspiration within my list and add a few things to your own summer to-do list!
8 Things on my Summer Bucket List :
1. Listen to live music
This one should be easy. There's a local bar just down the road from my house that has a different band play almost every weekend. Next time Austin's in town, this one is definitely getting checked off.
2. Watch a movie at the drive-in
What is it about the drive-in that makes going to a movie so much more fun? It's been a couple years since I've been and I can't wait to do it again. All I need are some blankets, snacks, and good company to make for a perfect summer night.
3. Indulge at my favorite ice cream stand
Okay, I'm not even going to pretend that this one has already been checked off a few times ; )
When my favorite chocolate peanut butter milkshake is only available for a few months of the year I have to take full advantage, right?
4. Spend an entire day on the water
It's rare for me to take the time to dedicate an entire day to an activity. Most of my time is either spent working, blogging or sleeping TBH.
I love the water, so I'm looking forward to having an entire day to just enjoy the lake and sunshine.
5. Host a lake day / bonfire
I was able to do this last year and it was SO MUCH FUN.
It can be really difficult to find a time for everyone to get together, but just getting a small group together to reconnect & hangout, even for a day, makes it totally worth it.
6. Go to the zoo
I haven't been to the zoo in years, so the next time I visit Columbus, Austin and I will have to make a day of it!
7. Visit an escape room
I can add a big check mark next to this one.
SO HAPPY I was able to do this a few weeks ago with All In Adventures Escape Rooms. They have tons of locations and plenty room themes to choose from. We did the "Alcatraz" room and loved the experience. I definitely recommend trying an escape room if you enjoy solving puzzles!
8. Spend the day at Cedar Point
I miss the thrill of roller coasters and haven't been to Cedar Point since my senior year of high school.
I am actually planning to go this weekend and Austin's never been, so I'll be fun taking him there. However, the weather isn't looking too promising, so wish us luck that we don't get rained out!
Now let's talk about this swimsuit because you can't have perfect summer plans without a perfect bikini, ya know?
This suit is from UpBra, which focuses mainly on creating bras BUT they decided to take the technology created for their bra line and implement it in an Upbra swimwear line, which is just genius.
This top fits so well, is comfortable, flattering and will be on rotation all summer long.
I mean, what more could I want from a bikini? Their swimsuit technology does such a wonderful job of lifting and supporting without losing any comfort.
For sizing, just select your bra size for the top and if you're in between sizes on the bottom, I recommend sizing up.
Buy this bikini and thank me later : )
