Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie with Vital Proteins

December 3, 2017

If you stalk my Insta stories, you're probably wondering what the green concoction is that I've been drinking every day.

WELL, I'm pumped to share my favorite protein smoothie recipe with YOU. It gives the body collagen, tons of amino acids, probiotics, vitamins, minerals, omega-3s, fiber and antioxidants... just to name a few : )

It's honestly full of so many amazing benefits for your body and it's only 8 simple ingredients :

+ One Scoop Vital Proteins Collagen

+ 1/2 Scoop Vega One

+ 1 Cup Crushed Ice

+ 1/2 Cup Milk

+ 1 banana

+ 2 TBS Peanut Butter ( I like Jiff )

+ 1 TBS Ground Flax Seed

+ 1 TBS Warrior Vitality Blend with Chia, Maca & Cacao Nibs

Okay, so I definitely don't use precise measurements.

To me, it's more efficient not to. I'll just take an 8 oz glass, fill it with crushed ice, throw it in the blender. Then fill the cup half full with milk ( I'm typically a 2% girl, but I've tried almond milk and it works great ! ) and toss it in along with a banana & a giant spoonful of peanut butter ( you can substitute for almond butter ).

Then come the amazing protein powders!

They come with their own scoopers on the inside of the containers, so I'll do a full scoop of the Vital Proteins ( any of the collagen powders are amazing but I am loving the vanilla and coconut flavored one ) and a half scoop of the Vega One.

Lastly, I'll add a small spoonful of flax seed and small spoonful of vitality blend, which contains chia, maca and cacao nibs.

Just blend it all together and you have a delicious Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie!

It's a perfect recipe for the girl who wants something quick & easy, yet body beneficial.

Plus, I'm always late and hate wasting time making food when I have other things I can be doing. So if you're like me, this recipe is for you.

I love these ingredients, because typically for breakfast I'll have a banana with peanut butter and a glass of milk. So I basically took the things I love for breakfast and turned it into something just as delicious but 10x more beneficial for my body.

Vital Proteins has 20G of collagen.

Collagen Peptides promote healthy immune and digestive systems. It also gives the body a nutrient boost which supports healthy hair, skin, nails, bones and joints as well as muscle recovery.

I am in my twenties now so this is becoming very important to me. Sure, I don't look like I'm aging and yes, strangers have thought I graduated high school last May instead of college ( LOL ), but aging WILL happen and I'm going to be prepared.

I want to look as young as possible as long as possible and Vital Proteins is helping me do just that.

PLUS, Vital Proteins has no artificial sweeteners; it's gluten free, dairy free, preservative free, hormone free and non GMO. Yes, please.

Then I love to add the Vega One, because it's a plant based protein that has 6 servings of greens, 50% daily intake of vitamins & minerals, 25% daily intake of fiber, antioxidants and 1 billion probiotics.

The flax, maca, cacao & chia add essential fatty acids and additional Omega-3s which support cardiovascular function.

If you like eating bananas with peanut butter, you're bound to love this smoothie. Definitely give it a try and lemme know whatcha think : )
