Dressing for Valentine's Day, from day to night

I've seen plenty of blog posts about transitioning an outfit from day to night, which sparked an idea for this festive holiday themed outfit transition.

If you're looking for a cute outfit idea for a V day lunch date OR if you're looking for something to wear at night for drinks with friends -- this post is for you! To me, Valentine's Day is so fun whether you're in a relationship or not. Either way, this day should be spent dressed well with the ones you love (and plenty of chocolate too).

For this daytime look, I wanted a soft and sweet feeling, which is why this pink and white Romeo + Juliet Couture sweater was perfect. The cold shoulders add a subtle sexy touch plus it is so cozy.

If you know me, you know I avoid jeans as much as possible. Well these jeggings from American Eagle are super soft and stretchy which makes them feel almost like leggings. I am all for comfort so these have become my best friend. Plus, the bright blue color adds to the vibrant and sweet look I wanted.

Lastly, I added a slip on sneaker by Steve Madden.

For the nighttime look, I added a red halter bodysuit and a black leather jacket in place of the sweater. Then traded in the slip on sneakers for a pair of over-the-knee suede black boots.

Finally, a touch of classic red on the lips to create a festive nighttime look.

Have an amazing Valentine's Day!
