Planning Ireland

February 1, 2017

With only a weekend to spend being a tourist in Ireland, I wanted to share what I did to get the most out of my short stay.

When it came to planning the trip I scheduled for a day in Dublin and then a day for traveling across the country to view the Cliffs of Moher.

Step 1: Book a hostel in Dublin

Yes, the eight person to a room kind of hostel. Where you're staying honestly does not matter. Pretty sure I only slept 6 hours the whole weekend.

Step 2: Book a day tour to the Cliffs of Moher

There are all sorts of tourist companies that run day trips from Dublin over to the Cliffs. This is a must because it is one of the most breathtaking views.

Day 1 consisted of:

+ Exploring the Guinness Factory

Even if you don't love their beer, this place is FUN. I'm not kidding when I say we spent 6 hours in this place. You pour your own Guinness, take a tour of the factory, enjoy beer tasting, rooftop views, giant gift shop and restaurants all inside.

+ Walking around the city of Dublin

We ate at a speak easy, did a little shopping, and enjoyed street performers. One of the bands we were listening to was so great that we went to their performance later that night.

+ Visiting the Temple Bar

This place wass magical. The twinkling lights, live music, and neat atmosphere created an amazing night.

& day 2:

+ Bus tour to the Cliffs of Moher

You're taken to the other side of Ireland to some of the most incredible views. Not much to explain just take a look.
